Several hundred winter sports enthusiasts frolicked in the snow on skis and snowboards. Others took the opportunity for a first winter walk or a toboggan ride in a dreamlike snow-covered winter landscape on the Höchsten. In Hinterzarten (Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district),the ski season for night skiing was opened on the first weekend in December with the best winter sports conditions and a good 50 zenimeters of snow.   The ski centre with the three drag lifts up to the Windeckkopf is one of the largest night ski areas in Baden-Württemberg. At the Windeck ski centre,floodlit skiing is offered by the new Profazi family from Monday to Saturday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.,subject to sufficient snow conditions.
