Theme Picture Weather The onset of winter in the Upper Black Forest. After early summer temperatures at the weekend,winter returned on Tuesday night. In the high altitudes of the Black Forest,about 10 centimeters of fresh snow fell. Like the Seebuck here,the Feldberg presented itself in the fog under a closed snow cover,but winter sports were not possible. In the Feldberg region (Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district),the snow ploughs were in use,but the important thoroughfares,such as the B317 federal route,were passable for motorists.
