View from the Feldberg summit to the Seebuck ski area with the hotels and the new multi-storey car park on the right at the opening of the 2023-24 winter sports season In picture-perfect weather with blue skies,pure sunshine and over half a metre of snow,the ski season was opened on the 1,493-metre-high Feldberg (Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district). Several hundred winter sports enthusiasts frolicked in the snow on skis and snowboards. Others took the opportunity for a first winter walk or a toboggan ride in a dreamlike snow-covered winter landscape on the Höchsten. But in the next few days the weather is expected to become more unstable again
