SYRIA, Kafr Batna: Syrian Red Crescent staff survey the delivery of humanitarian aid at a warehouse in Kafr Batna, in the rebel-held Eastern Ghouta area, southern Syria, on the outskirts of the capital Damascus on February 23, 2016 during an operation in cooperation with the UN to deliver aid to thousands of besieged Syrians. UN aid convoys head to two Syrian towns besieged by government forces, including Kafr Batna, on February 23, 2016 to deliver life-saving food and medicine to some 30,000 people, a UN spokesman said. The humanitarian aid came a day after the United States and Russia agreed on a cessation of hostilities.
