UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, New York: Winter Storm Jonas has caused Broadway avenue to close its doors as heavy snow paralyzes the city on January 23, 2016. Governor Andrew Cuomo ordered all public roads in New York closed bringing traffic in New York City to a grinding halt due to the blizzard pounding the Northeast. Winter Storm Jonas has affected more than 85 million people, cutting power to 200,000 people, and causing 7,000 flight cancelations. States of emergency were declared in New York, Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, New Jersey, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia.
