SPAIN, Bilbao: A boy holds a lantern at the march on January 9, 2016 that calls for an immediate end to the Spanish government policy of dispersing Euskadi Ta Askatasuna (ETA) separatist group prisoners throughout Spain. Over 71,000 people attended the demonstrations in both Bilbao and Baiona to demand the return of over 400 Basque political prisoners and amnesty. The inmates are scattered across 73 prisons in France and Spain, thousands of kilometres from their families. The protesters are also calling for the release of all prisoners in ill health.
