WEST BANK, Kalandia: Hundreds of activists from Palestine, Israel and from all over the world demonstrate on September 17, 2011 at the Kalandia checkpoint, which is the main corridor between Ramallah and Jerusalem, for the recognition of a state of Palestine by the UN. President Mahmoud Abbas is to ask UN for a recognition of Palestine as a state during the comng week.
