SOUTH AFRICA, Pretoria: Demonstrators run from police as an estimated 10,000 people gather at the Union Buildings on October 23, 2015. The protesters demand that proposed tuition fee rises be scrapped, and called for the president, Jacob Zuma, to personally address their concerns. It was the largest student protest since the 1976 Soweto uprising, a significant moment in the fight against South Africa's apartheid regime.
